Rahmani, who was in his 40s, said he worked for NATO in Afghanistan for 18 years at Kabul Airport.
He decided to leave the country four months before US withdrawal because he received a threat and was very afraid he made his children out of school.
Before that “I have a good life in Afghanistan, I have a private home, I have a private car, I have a good salary,” Rahmani said.
I sold my car, my house, everything. I lost everything,” he said. But he added: “There is nothing better than my love, rather than my family life.”
Rahmani said he struggled to get a visa to leave Afghanistan and decided to go to Ukraine because it was the only country that would bring it.
Four days ago, when Russia began an invasion to Ukraine, they had to leave everything again and travel 1,110 kilometers to the border.
