Russia Has Destroyed Hundreds Of Hospitals In Ukraine: President Zelensky
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has destroyed hundreds of hospitals and other institutions and left doctors without drugs to deal with cancer or the ability to carry out operations, said President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Thursday.
Zelenskiy, in the video address to the medical charity group, said many places do not even have basic antibiotics in East and South Ukraine, the focus point of battle.
If you consider only medical infrastructure, to this day Russian troops have destroyed or damaged nearly 400 health care institutions:
This is the same as a lack of medicine for cancer patients. This means extreme difficulties or lack of insulin for diabetes. It is impossible to perform surgery. Even meaningful, quite simple, lack of antibiotics.”
In one of the most criticized acts of war, the maternity hospital was all destroyed on March 9 in the city of Marieupol. The alleged photo of the Russian attack was staged and said the site had been used by armed Ukraine groups.
